We designed and developed the new, action-oriented website for Amnesty International South Africa. Amnesty International is one of the most well known international NGO’s, and focus on human rights issues globally as well as in Southern Africa. The new website for their South African chapter was designed to encourage users to interact with various campaigns while minimising the cognitive load that is required from users to navigate it. This was achieved by designing the site so that users are only ever presented with a single action at a time. We developed a custom, yet inclusive WordPress theme for the website. By making use of minimal javascript, we made the website reader accessible to the visually impaired.
